If you have travel insurance, you have two options to proceed:

2. Pay for the treatment costs yourself first and then apply for reimbursement afterwards from your travel insurance company.

Instructions to request Guarantee of Payment
If your travel insurance utilizes Travel Assistance Alarm Center services from either SOS International or Falck Global Assistance or Europeiske Alarm Center (Euro-Center) – then you may receive Guarantee of Payment for the treatment costs at CostaDoctor (Costaklinikka).
If you have requested Guarantee of Payment from your travel assistance service, then CostaDoctor can invoice the treatment costs directly to your insurance company. This way you do not need to pay the costs yourself first and apply for reimbursement later.
The requesting of Guarantee of Payment is in most cases quick and easy to do with only one phone call in 5 minutes.

How to request Guarantee of Payment:
Step 1.
Figure out your Travel Insurance Travel Assistance service phone number.
You can find the the Travel Assistance service number of your travel insurance on the travel insurance card, certificate, contract or other travel insurance document. The document at hand should also state the name of the Travel Assistance service so that you can check if it is any of the three that CostaDoctor is in collaboration with.

Call the travel insurance Travel Assistance service and request a guarantee of payment directly to CostaDoctor (Costaklinikka) for treatment expenses.
Requesting a payment guarantee from travel insurance is typically straightforward and can often be done with just a few minutes over the phone.

1. Book an appointment
You can book a doctor’s appointment through our online booking system or through our customer service. You can call us during our opening hours +358 45 490 0911 (weekdays 9 a.m to 2 p.m) and other times sending us a whatsapp/text message.
If you need a doctor for a home or hotel visit, please contact CostaDoctor customer service directly. Home visits
Note: Most of travel illnesses (such as flu, stomach ailments and rashes), long-term illnesses, minor procedures and minor accidents can be treated in our clinic without a visit to a hospital or other provider.
2. Arriving CostaDoctor clinic
Arrive about 10 minutes before the start of the scheduled appointment and register at the clinic’s reception.
Remember to bring the following:
- ID with photo: passport, identity card or driver’s license.
- List of existing medication
- List of medication allergies
- If you need someone come with you to clinic, please, bring a maximum of one person with you.
3. General Practitioner Appointment
All CostaDoctor doctor’s speak English.
During the appointment, the doctor will conduct a basic clinical examination and interview the patient based on their symptoms. If necessary, the doctor may recommend additional tests or procedures, which can be performed at our clinic.
Common tests during consultations include (charged separately):
- Various rapid tests, such as inflammation markers and virus rapid tests
- Laboratory tests
- ECG – for heart rhythm assessment
Common procedures available at Costaklinikka include (charged separatelty):
- Cortisone injections or aspirations for joints or soft tissues
- Ear irrigation or suction
- Removal of lumps or abscesses (may require a separate visit)
- Mole removal (please book an initial assessment appointment)
If your situation requires further testing (e.g., X-ray, MRI, ultrasound) or if a consultation with a specialist or hospital-level care is needed, the doctor will refer you to our local partner.
4. Apply For Insurance Reimbursement
Pay the treatment costs yourself initially and then apply for reimbursement from your insurance company afterwards. If you have travel insurance, you can usually claim reimbursement from your insurance provider.
In this case, be sure to keep all receipts and vouchers to yourself.
What Doctor Appointment cost?
The price is determined based on the total duration of the appointment. The total duration is also affected by the time the specialist spends getting to know patient background information and making notes in the patient information systems.
Please note that in addition to the reception fee, which is determined based on the duration of the appointment, we charge for possible examinations and procedures performed at the appointment. See our price list for more information.
Cancellation Policy
The booked appointment must be canceled at least 24 hours before the start of the scheduled time. Cancellations made later or a completely missed appointment will be charged in full according to the price list for the reserved service. 2. Arriving at Costadoctor
Please, arrive at our clinic on time, ideally about 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment. Upon arrival, check in at the reception desk.
Bring a photo ID with you, along with a list of your existing (if you have any) illnesses and medications.
If you need someone to accompany you to our clinic, please limit it to one person
